Araku Valley is about 120 km from Vizag through the Eastern Ghats, one of the best rides in Andhra Pradesh. There's no need to find a bike in Araku: rent in Vizag from Ever Green Travels at 43-9-230, Railway New Colony, Visakhapatnam 530016, near the railway station, and ride up.
Not every vehicle is allowed outstation. Scooters at ₹500/day or less (Hero Pleasure, Honda Activa 5G, Honda Aviator, Honda Dio) are for use within Vizag only. The table below lists only vehicles you can take to Araku.

A Vizag–Araku return ride is roughly 240 km before any sightseeing detours (Borra Caves, Ananthagiri, Galikonda viewpoint). Most two-wheelers include 120 km per day, so a one-day return trip usually goes over the daily allowance. Either plan the excess kilometres at the per-km rate shown, or book for two days and stay overnight.
The climb to Araku has long, steep ghat sections. A motorcycle such as a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 or Classic 350, or a Bajaj Pulsar, handles the gradient and a pillion rider more comfortably than a small scooter.
Start early, carry a rain layer in the monsoon, and ride the ghat sections in daylight.
Bring a valid driving licence and a government photo ID. Fuel is not included: fill up in Vizag before the ghat road. One helmet is included free with every two-wheeler.
