This is one of the most common questions we get at Ever Green Travels — "which bike should I take?" The honest answer is: it depends on where you're going and how comfortable you are on a bike. Here's a straightforward guide based on what we've seen work for our customers.
If you're exploring Vizag city, visiting beaches, or doing short day trips within 50-60 km, a scooter is honestly all you need. They're easy to handle, fuel-efficient, have good storage under the seat, and are comfortable for both riders and pillions. You don't need experience on a geared bike — the automatic transmission means you just twist and go.
Good for: Rushikonda, Kailasagiri, Yarada Beach, Beach Road, city riding, day trips to Bheemunipatnam.
Not ideal for: Araku Valley, Borra Caves, Lambasingi, or any route with long ghat sections.
Bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar N160 or the Pulsar NS125 are the sweet spot for most adventure riders. Enough power for the ghats, comfortable for long distances, and still manageable if you're relatively new to geared bikes. If you're planning to do Araku or Lambasingi, this is the category to aim for.
Good for: Araku Valley, Borra Caves, Lambasingi, longer coastal rides, multi-day trips.
Requires: A valid driving license with motorcycle endorsement. Some riding experience recommended for ghat routes.
If you're a seasoned rider and want something with more presence on the highway, we have higher-displacement options available. These bikes handle long distances with less effort and are more confidence-inspiring on fast stretches. Best suited for riders who are already comfortable on bigger bikes.
Here's how the conversation usually goes:
If someone says they're visiting Vizag for 2-3 days and want to see the city and beaches — we recommend a scooter. Easy, practical, no fuss.
If someone says they want to do Araku and the ghats — we recommend a 150cc motorcycle, and we ask about their riding experience before confirming.
If a couple is travelling together for a longer trip — we ask about the pillion rider's comfort on long rides, then suggest accordingly.
The point is — there's no one-size-fits-all answer. Call or WhatsApp us before booking, tell us your plan, and we'll make sure you get a bike that suits your trip. Browse our bike rentals in Vizag.
