We added the Hero Vida V1 Pro to our fleet in Vizag as demand for electric scooter rentals started growing. If you've been considering an EV for your Vizag trip but aren't sure whether it's practical, this gives you an honest answer.
The Vida V1 Pro is Hero MotoCorp's electric scooter — built for urban commuting with a clean ride, automatic operation, and zero fuel costs. It's a well-built machine and one of the more serious EVs in the Indian market.
Our rental rate: ₹498/day — the same as the Honda Activa. Weekly: ₹2,798. Monthly: ₹7,998.
The Vida V1 Pro has a real-world range of approximately 100–115 km per full charge in urban conditions. In Vizag's flat coastal terrain, it tends to perform toward the higher end of that range.
What you can do on a single charge:
— Vizag city + Beach Road exploration: comfortably within range
— RK Beach → Rushikonda → Bhimli return: about 50 km, well within range
— A full day of city riding with multiple stops: most days you'll return with battery remaining
— Vizag to Araku (120 km one way): not suitable — range is insufficient and there are no EV charging points on the ghat route
Unlike a petrol bike where you stop at a fuel station for 5 minutes, an EV requires planned charging. We hand over the Vida V1 Pro with a full charge. If you need a top-up during your rental, Vizag has a growing number of public EV charging points — Hero dealer service centres can also assist. We'll share the nearest charging locations with you at pickup.
For single-day city rentals, you'll almost certainly return with battery remaining.
Choose the Vida V1 Pro (electric) if:
— You're staying within the city and Beach Road corridor
— You want a smoother, quieter ride
— You want zero fuel costs during your rental
— Your daily range is under 80 km
Choose a petrol scooter (Activa, Dio, Cliq) if:
— You're planning trips beyond the city — Araku, Lambasingi, Borra Caves
— You prefer the flexibility of refuelling in 5 minutes anywhere
— You're renting for multiple days with uncertain daily distance
For city use and coastal rides — yes, genuinely. The ride is smooth, running costs are zero, and the Vida V1 Pro is a quality machine. For longer rides outside the city, stick to a petrol bike.
