Vizag during Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali is a different city. The streets are busier, pandals light up the neighbourhoods, and the Beach Road fills with families out for the evening. It's a great time to be here — but if you're relying on autos or cabs, you're going to spend a lot of time waiting.
A rental bike during festival season solves this completely.
Navratri (September/October): Nine nights of Garba, Dandiya, and pandal decorations. The areas around Jagadamba, Gajuwaka, and Siripuram come alive after dark. Getting between pandals by bike takes minutes — by auto it takes 45.
Dussehra (October): Cultural events at beach grounds, Ravana effigies, evening gatherings at parks and temples across the city.
Diwali (October/November): Evening rides along the Beach Road during Diwali are genuinely beautiful — the entire waterfront is lit and the sea air makes everything feel more open than anywhere indoors.
Vizag Beach Festival (November/December): Held on the Beach Road with cultural performances, food stalls, and art installations. Parking is always chaotic. A bike changes this entirely.
No surge pricing: Ola and Uber surge 2–3x on festival evenings. At ₹498/day for an Activa, you're spending less than a single surge-priced ride.
No parking problem: Two-wheeler parking is always available even when grounds are packed. You'll watch cab riders circle for 20 minutes while you've already walked in.
Go on your schedule: Leave when you want, stop where you want. Festival crowds don't dictate your evening.
See more of the city: Festival activity is spread across many neighbourhoods. A bike lets you cover four areas in one evening instead of one.
Book a day or two ahead — our fleet gets busier during Navratri and Diwali week. Consider a weekly plan if you're here for the full festival period. And after dark, take it steady — festival crowds mean more pedestrians crossing unpredictably.
